A11y Text evaluates the contrast ratio between text color and its background color to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and AAA guidelines.

The plugin distinguishes between small text and large text by checking both font size and weight, using WCAG's pixel-converted thresholds: 24px (from 18pt) for normal weight19px bold (rounded up from 14pt, which is ≈18.66px). It then verifies the minimum contrast ratios: 4.5:1 for small text (AA) / 7:1 (AAA), 3:1 for large text (AA) / 4.5:1 (AAA)."
