About this plugin

Quick Screenshot to Code turns a frame on your Figma canvas or FigJam board into working code. Select a layer, pick the stack you want, and the code appears on the board next to your design as a code block you can read, copy, and share.I built it because the handoff conversation tends to stall in the same place. A designer has a screenshot or a rough frame, an engineer wants to know roughly what it would take to build, and nobody wants to spend an afternoon finding out. This gets you something concrete to react to in about twenty seconds.

There are eight targets to choose from. For web there is HTML with plain CSS, HTML with Tailwind, React with Tailwind, React with CSS Modules, and Vue single file components. For mobile there is SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, and React Native. Each target is prompted separately, so the React output is written as React and the SwiftUI output is written as SwiftUI, rather than one generic template with the syntax swapped out.A few honest notes before you try it. Most runs take about twenty seconds, and bigger frames take longer. It works best on frames you have designed yourself, since screenshots of real apps are often declined. The layer you select is exported as an image and sent to OpenAI to generate the code, so it is worth avoiding anything private or sensitive.

What comes back is a starting point rather than a finished component. It gets the layout, spacing, and colors close, and you take it from there.
