About this plugin

The Automated Design Review Checklist ensures that UI/UX designs maintain high standards of organization, accessibility, layout, and content quality. It systematically evaluates design files to identify potential issues and improve usability.

In terms of Layer Organization, it checks for clear and descriptive layer names, flagging defaults like “Rectangle 1,” “Text 1,” “Frame,” or “Group.” It also detects hidden layers, ensures layers used as masks are correctly applied, and verifies the presence of effects to maintain design consistency.

For Accessibility, the checklist validates text contrast ratios against WCAG 2.1 standards to ensure readability:•Regular text (< 18px) must have a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1.•Large text (≥ 18px or ≥ 14px bold) should meet a minimum contrast ratio of 3:1.It also warns if text size is below 14px, flags elements smaller than 24x24px (as they might be too small for touch targets), and checks for opacity settings that could impact visibility.

The Layout Review identifies problematic scale constraints that could cause resizing issues and evaluates layer dimensions to ensure usability across different screen sizes.

In terms of Content, the system detects empty text layers that may indicate missing information and checks text properties to maintain proper styling, readability, and hierarchy.

By automating these design checks, this system helps designers streamline their workflow, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and overall design quality before final delivery.
