About this plugin

Call for Sponsorship: Support the DevelopmentFig-Refactor – Replace Spacing with Figma Variables in One ClickFig-Refactor is a Figma plugin designed to bring structure and scalability to your design files by replacing hardcoded gaps and paddings with Figma variables — in bulk.

Fig-Refactor intelligently scans your selection or entire file, matches raw spacing values to the closest variable from your local or team library, and replaces them with a single click. It even skips values already using variables, keeping your workflow non-destructive and efficient.

✨ Features:

🔍 Smart matching – Suggests the closest variable for each spacing value🧠 Supports team libraries – Load and use variables from shared libraries📁 Flexible scanning – Target specific selections or scan the entire file🚫 Non-destructive – Ignores values already assigned to a variableCurrently in active development, Fig-Refactor is already making design systems cleaner and easier to manage — and with your support, it can go even further. Your sponsorship helps fund ongoing development, bug fixes, and new features like auto-thresholds, preview modes, and batch review.

Thank you for making design better for everyone!Q&AWhat if my tokens are not showing up?

Some tokens may not appear if they come from a Team Library that isn’t loaded in your file. Figma requires Team Library variables to be enabled separately, so the plugin can only access what’s currently available. To fix this, go to Settings → Load Team Library. Once loaded, the plugin should detect and display them normally.
