How It Works

Select any text layer in your design. The plugin automatically detects the background color behind your text, calculates the contrast ratio, and displays pass or fail status for both AA and AAA standards. If the contrast fails, you receive immediate color suggestions that you can apply with a single click.

The background detection system handles complex scenarios including nested frames, auto-layout containers, overlapping elements, and layered designs. It finds the actual visual background your users will see, not just the immediate parent fill.

Core Capabilities

Contrast ratio calculation follows the official WCAG luminance formula. Results display the exact ratio with two decimal precision. AA compliance requires 4.5:1 for normal text and 3.0:1 for large text. AAA compliance requires 7.0:1 for normal text and 4.5:1 for large text.

Color suggestions are generated algorithmically to find the closest accessible color to your original choice. The plugin adjusts lightness values systematically to cross the required threshold while preserving hue and saturation where possible.
