Grid Pack

About this plugin

Grid Pack is a tiny utility for restoring clean grids after edits. Select the Section (recommended) or a set of frames/groups, hit Pack, and the plugin infers your grid’s columns, row bands, and spacing with a tolerance setting to handle messy layouts. It then repacks remaining items into the earliest available cells while preserving reading order. You can override the column count, switch between row-major and column-major flows, and limit operations to the current selection when needed. It respects visibility/lock states and doesn’t touch layer sizes or content—only positions.

How to use

1. Select the Section containing your grid (or multi-select items).
2. (Optional) Set Columns and Tolerance; choose order.
3. Click Pack to fill the gaps.

Notes & limits

1. Best with free-positioned items. Auto Layout parents may constrain movement.
2. Extremely irregular layouts may need a higher Tolerance or a manual Columns value.
