About this plugin

DEPTH is an inline, selection-aware writer for Figma that starts with OpenAI (Chat Completions + Assistants v2) and will add more LLMs over time. It writes directly into the selected text layer, sizes to fit, preserves styles, and can use your assistant’s files via Retrieval for true context. Session data ({assistantId, prompt, clientBrief, links[]}) lives in clientStorage; your API key stays on-device. Calls go straight to the provider, with token caps and preview-before-commit to control spend.

Today: Pick an assistant (inherits model/instructions); if it has Retrieval, DEPTH uses it. Auto-apply preview to the canvas. Selection-aware rewrite-to-fit (no truncation). Local, private state + on-device key.

Guardrails: Local key storage; direct provider calls; token discipline; preview before broad apply.

For teams: Skinny panel + settings overlay; plain HTML/CSS/JS (no build); brand-aware prompts—brief + links injected after the task.

Roadmap: Add Anthropic/Google/others; smarter retrieval (link fetching/grounding); org controls (presets, tone sliders, history/undo).
