About this plugin

E-Reconnect automatically reconnects components in Figma using a special tagging system. The plugin analyzes selected templates and reconnects all components to their corresponding masters, saving time on design system maintenance.

Regular instance swaps or text scaling often reset configured text size values. This template and plugin solve this problem.

How it works:

1. Template Analysis - The plugin finds all tagged components in the selected template
2. Matching - Matches instances with existing masters by keys
3. Reconnection - Automatically performs swapComponent for found matches
4. Cleanup - Removes temporary composite components (◇)
5. Preservation - Preserves component structure and properties

Tag System:

1. ♦ (Eligible) - Template for processing
2. ◆ (Base) - Base component masters
3. ■ (Block) - Graphic blocks (icons, images)
4. ◇ (Composite) - Composite components (temporary)
5. ◈ (Container) - Main template container
