Hyphens – Text Hyphenation

Hyphens - Text Layout ImproverHyphens is a typography utility for Figma that brings high-quality hyphenation to your text layers. This plugin solves the issue of ragged edges and wide gaps in justified text by intelligently inserting Soft Hyphens based on dictionary rules.

Why Hyphens?

Without hyphenation, responsive text layouts often suffer from:

River effects: Large white gaps in justified text blocks.

Severe rag: Uneven right margins in left-aligned text.

Space inefficiency: Less text fits into narrow columns.

This makes Hyphens the essential tool for creating web-ready PDFs. By bringing professional-grade hyphenation to Figma, it bridges the gap to editorial design and often renders the switch to Adobe InDesign unnecessary.

Batch Processing: Works on single or multiple text nodes simultaneously.
