📚 TECHNICAL DETAILS

This plugin establishes a WebSocket connection to communicate between Figma and your Cursor AI editor via the Model Context Protocol. Commands are sent from Cursor's AI, received by the plugin, and executed using Figma's Plugin API.

The plugin uses Figma's standard APIs to enable NEW workflows (AI automation), not to recreate existing Figma features.

🤔 WHY THIS DOESN'T DUPLICATE FIGMA

Figma provides manual design tools and a Plugin API.

This plugin provides AI automation on top of those tools.

Similar to how:

• "Anima" uses Figma's API to enable React code export (new capability)

• "Figmotion" uses Figma's API to create animations (new capability)

• This plugin uses Figma's API to enable AI-driven automation (new capability)

Without this plugin, there is no way to connect Cursor AI to Figma designs.
