About this plugin

FontContext is a Figma plugin that removes the guesswork from typography by letting you favourite fonts and preview your actual text across more than 1,000 styles in real time. It creates a live link between your text layer and the plugin textbox to make picking fonts easy.

Core Features:

1. Preview Mode: Click the eye icon in the search bar to switch from searching names to seeing your own characters populated across every font instantly.
2. Auto Sync: Select a text layer on your Figma canvas to instantly sync that text into the plugin’s textbox for immediate previewing.
3. Type to Sync: Anything you type directly into the plugin textbox while in Preview Mode instantly syncs across the entire font list and can sync back to your Figma selection.
4. Save Your Favorites: Hover over a font and click the heart icon to save it to your Favorites tab for quick access.
5. Preference Tab: Click the three dots at the bottom right to launch the preference tab, where you can toggle your layout (vertical or horizontal), switch between light and dark modes, or access the upcoming code editor.
