Version Keeper

About this plugin

Version Keeper makes it easy to archive sections in your Figma file. Select one or more sections, run the plugin, and it creates organized copies on a dedicated archive page — preserving your design history without cluttering your workspace.

What it does

1. Linked Copy — A duplicate that keeps all component and style references intact. Great for tracking what was used.
2. Detached Copy — A fully flattened snapshot with all variables, styles, and component instances detached. No external dependencies — what you see is what you get.

How to use

1. Select one or more sections on your canvas
2. Run Version Keeper from the Plugins menu
3. Choose whether to create linked copies, detached copies, or both
4. Click Create Version Archive
5. The plugin creates a 📦 Archive page with your copies and takes you there
