ProtoGIF – Turn prototypes into GIFs

ProtoGIF is a simple and powerful plugin that lets you turn your Figma prototype journeys into clean, shareable GIFs in just a few clicks, without screen recording.

Prototypes are meant to be experienced, not explained. A well-crafted interaction flow tells a story of how users move, react, and engage with your product. But capturing that story and sharing it outside Figma often means recording screens, trimming videos, and compromising quality.

That process breaks your workflow.

That’s where ProtoGIF comes in.

Built to understand your prototype logic, ProtoGIF reads your existing interactions, follows the defined journey, and recreates it as a deterministic animation. Just select a starting frame, preview the flow, and export it instantly as a GIF, exactly as intended.

No manual stitching. No guesswork.

Designed for speed and precision, ProtoGIF ensures your transitions, delays, and interactions are preserved while intelligently handling edge cases like missing links or unsupported transitions, so you always get a reliable output.

Whether you are showcasing a feature, sharing flows with stakeholders, or documenting interactions, ProtoGIF helps you communicate motion clearly and effortlessly.
