About this plugin
Figma's Annotations are a great way to leave specs and notes on a design — but they're hidden from viewers. This plugin solves that gap.
It scans the current page for annotated nodes and generates a clean, view-ready overlay: a small colored pin attached to each component, connected by a horizontal dashed line to a card that contains the category chip and the annotation body. The cards are placed next to the topmost instance (or component) so they read naturally alongside the design.
Highlights- Renders annotations as plain Figma layers — viewers can read everything- Reflects the original annotation category color (8 categories supported)- Smart left/right placement based on neighbouring instances- Lower pins shift further out so connectors never overlap- Result is grouped, locked, and toggleable from the plugin UIRecommended for design teams that need to share specs with reviewers, PMs, or engineers who only have Viewer access. Run before sharing a link, toggle it off when designing.
How to use1. Open a file with annotations2. Run "Annotation to Component"3. Click "Convert" — the plugin creates an "Annotations Overlay" group4. Use the toggle inside the plugin UI (or the layer panel eye icon) to show/hideThe original annotations are never deleted; the plugin only adds layers.
