About this plugin
Import a variables JSON export into a new Figma file and recreate the full structure — collections, modes, variables, and cross-collection aliases — without rebuilding everything by hand.
What it does:- Creates variable collections and modes matching the JSON- Creates COLOR, FLOAT, STRING, and BOOLEAN variables- Resolves aliases between collections (e.g. a theme collection referencing a primitives collection)- Converts typography and effect token groups into native Text Styles and Effect Styles- Shows a report at the end listing anything that couldn't be resolved (missing aliases, missing fonts)Notes:- Custom fonts referenced in typography styles must be installed locally — the plugin will flag any that are missing rather than failing silently.- Designed for JSON exports in the format: { "collections": [{ "name", "modes": [{ "name", "variables": [...] }] }] }
