About this plugin

Most contrast checkers make you pick two colors and read a ratio. That's fine for one button. It doesn't help when the real question is whether any text got left illegible somewhere across a 40-frame file.

Contrast Auditor scans real layers instead. Point it at a selection or a whole page and it walks every text layer, resolves the color actually behind it by following ancestor frames and shapes rather than just the nearest fill, and scores each run against WCAG 2.1: normal text needs 4.5:1, large text (24px, or 18.66px bold) needs 3:1. Click any result to jump straight to that layer.

It also handles something most contrast tools skip: a single text layer can have a bolded word or a differently sized span in the middle of a sentence. Those get scored separately and correctly, not averaged into one number for the whole layer.

Free: scan your current selection, see your worst 5 issues.

Pro: scan an entire page, see the full report, no cap.

Unlocking Pro requires a one-time purchase through Gumroad, a third-party service — buy a license key there and paste it into the plugin. The plugin only ever sends your license key to a verification server; it never reads or transmits anything about your file's contents.
