About this plugin

Frame Multiplier turns a few master layouts into a whole campaign of sizes. You design the masters, a square, a portrait, a landscape, and it fills every other frame on the page from them: the background covers, the hero stays clear of the headline, the logo keeps its corner, the copy keeps its margin, all sized for that frame's proportions. One click, one undo step.

Start with a masters pagePut your finished master frames on one page and name it [MASTERS]. Every visible frame on it is a master; the more sizes you give it, the better every in-between size comes out. Masters that share a hero or background component, or a [bracket] label, are one concept, so a page can hold several creatives at once. That is the whole setup. The plugin finds the page on its own, or you pick it.

Scan, then MultiplyOpen the plugin on a page of empty frames at the sizes you need (or let it make them, see below) and press Scan. It reads the masters, works out what each layer is, background, hero, headline, logo, everything else, and shows you the plan for every frame with a score before anything is written. Click a frame to see the plan drawn over it and exactly what it will change. Then Multiply. Every frame on the page is filled in one undo group; locked and ready-for-dev frames are left alone; each frame is re-read afterwards for its verified score.

How the sizes are worked outEach layer is placed by blending between the masters nearest that frame's proportions, the way an experienced designer would step between the square and the portrait to get the 4:5. The roles given to each component provides special layout instructions on how to scale and be placed. Photos are placed by their subject*: cut-outs by their silhouette, so the product stays in view and the headline never lands on it. Text is measured by its letters, not its text box. Pins and clamps are read from how the masters themselves behave, and you can override any of them per layer in Setup. The choice is stored on the layer, in your file.*requires a single path to be drawn into the component.

Keep it in syncChange a master and the plugin tells you which frames are now out of date. Import updates (N) brings just those in line.

Set up a job from the briefImport brief with AI writes a prompt you paste into whatever AI assistant you already use (the plugin itself never connects to anything). It hands back one block of text; paste that in and the plugin builds the pages and empty frames for every deliverable, display sizes in pixels, print sizes in millimetres with bleed and safe guides and the supply scale in the name, plus an empty masters page ready for your designs.

Automation LimitationsThis plugin uses a nudge and scale algorithm to automatically resolve overlaps of the hero component. Only 1 component can be set with this feature.

Private by designFrame Multiplier makes no network connections at all. Everything it works out is stored as plugin data inside your own Figma file and never leaves it.

Trial and subscriptionSeven days of full access from the moment you first run it. After that, Multiply is the paid action, $99 USD a month, for anyone that rolls out large campaigns. Setting up a file, Scan, the plan for every frame, Import brief with AI, Clear frames and Promote stay free without limit, so you can see exactly what a multiply would do before you subscribe.
