Link Preview Check — OG image preview preview

About this plugin

Every page you ship gets shared as a card: the OG image, a title, a domain. Facebook and LinkedIn publish what they do with that image, and most of it gets missed until someone posts the link and the headline is trimmed.

Select your link preview frames and Link Preview Check tells you, per platform:

Whether the frame shows in full or gets trimmed, and by how many pixels off which edges (both platforms show 1.91:1)Whether it is under the platform's minimum (Facebook 200x200, LinkedIn 1200x627) or too small for the large cardWhether the export is over the file limit (8 MB on Facebook, 5 MB on LinkedIn)The free plan checks five frames at a time.

The paid plan ($4 a month, 7-day free trial that starts on your first run) checks unlimited frames, draws the Facebook and LinkedIn cards on your canvas with the trim applied, flags text that runs into the trimmed band, names the one size that shows in full everywhere (1200x630), and writes a fix list you can paste into the handoff.

Rules come from Meta for Developers (Images in Link Shares) and LinkedIn Help (Make your website shareable on LinkedIn), checked September 11, 2026. X isn't checked: its Cards documentation is no longer published on its developer site. Slack, iMessage and Discord publish no image rules, so they aren't checked either. The plugin says so instead of guessing.

No network access, no account, nothing leaves your file.
