Frames to motion

💭 Say you have an animation and you want to put it on a banner. If the animation has transparency, you have a problem: GIF does not support translucency, so the edges of the animated object come out jagged, and WebM does not display transparency correctly in Figma — you cannot bring it into «Figma motion» properly either.

🔥 That is why this plugin exists. «Frames to motion» takes your PNG sequence and turns it into an animation inside «Figma motion», keeping the original transparency. From there you can export it in any format Figma provides.

✅ A classic use case: put an animated object on a banner and export the banner as a GIF — the object keeps its smooth edges and the banner is animated.

Requires a Figma version with «Figma motion» support.
